A Ph.D. student position is available at the University of Helsinki and Folkhälsan Research Center, Biomedicum in Meilahti, Helsinki, Finland. Our research involves the clinical and genetic characteristics of osteoporosis, skeletal dysplasias, early-onset obesity, and mineral metabolism. What is expected of you:

•    MSc degree in biological or biomedical sciences field

•    high motivation level and work morale

•    capability to work both independently and in group

•    to manage overlapping projects

•    previous experience in genetics, cell biology or molecular biology is required

•    experience in laboratory work with cell culture

•    Skills and training in working with model animals (zebrafish) are an advantage. The project

     will involve animal work

•    adequate written and oral skills in the English language

•    a possibility of interviewing at Folkhälsan Research Center in person (not via Skype)
