At the Protein production research team at VTT, we work on topics of great important to society such as production of sustainable, animal free food proteins, production of vaccines to reduce antibiotics use in animals, enzyme mixtures for biofuel production, and therapeutic proteins for human medicine. https://www.facebook.com/VTTProteinProduction/

We are now looking for a Laboratory Technician to work on projects to develop new biotechnology and microbial systems for protein production.

With us you will be responsible for laboratory project work with eukaryotic microbes. In our team you will be working in close collaboration with researchers and scientist from many different domains in protein production. You will have a full support from the current senior laboratory staff and we expect that you have a can-do attitude and you are eager to develop your skills.

We expect you to have

We expect you to have a laboratory technician or comparable technical degree and excellent laboratory skills and experience in molecular biology. We appreciate a strong experience in gene technology techniques and experience in work with yeast or filamentous fungi would be beneficial. The work requires good written and spoken English, as well as the capabilities to scientific reporting.
