Palkka määräytyy yliopistojen työehtosopimuksen perusteella ja riippuu hakija koulutuksesta ja pätevyyksistä. Tehtävät sijoittuvat opetus- ja tutkimushenkilökuntaan. Työsuhteeseen sisältyy mm. lakisääteiset eläke- ja työttömyysvakuutusmaksut, hyvät työterveys- ja liikuntapalvelut ja lomaraha.
Palkka on tutkijatohtorille keskimäärin 3180-3500 eur/kk. Erikoistutkijan palkka on pätevyydestä ja kokemuksesta riippuen keskimäärin 3400-4500 eur/kk.
Tehtävän aloittamisajankohta on neuvoteltavissa. Tehtävän kesto on vuoden 2023 loppuun asti, ja saattaa olla mahdollista että tehtävä jatkuu sen jälkeenkin. Tehtävässä on kuuden kuukauden koeaika.

Role Description

- Understanding of CE IVD (98/79/EY) Directive, EU IVDR and international MD/IVD regulations such as NMPA, FDA and Health Canada
- Some expertise in regulatory topic areas such as artificial intelligence, electrical devices, software, cybersecurity, clinical evaluation is advantage
- Independent, self-directed person with excellent organization and communication skills

The Position
You will lead and drive product marketing for Structural Physiology. This segmented aims to attract cell biologists with a portfolio ranging from Large volume analysis to the powerful context of Cryo Tomography on whole cells and tissues. You will oversee product development (PMP) execution for products in Life Sciences from a marketing perspective interacting with the Product Development Team. Furthermore, you will contribute to building and executing a strong portfolio roadmap, built on market-focused strategy, deep understanding of product life cycles, and a broad business insight.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with other product managers and marketing managers to establish market requirement documents for structural physiology;
- Develop value proposition, messaging and go-to-market strategies that resonate with the structural physiology segment, based on deep insight in and organizing around customers’ key scientific questions. Define innovative and creative ways to approach new market segments.
- Build external networks e.g. in the context of collaborations: establish and manage technical collaborations with (KOL) customers, track milestones and report out on progress;
- Build internal networks especially with R&D, NanoPort & field applications, marketing teams;
- Drive improvement in product development processes and execution, identify and resolve roadblocks, apply PPI to monitor and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of strategy execution;
- Provide support to sales and business development teams, support field escalations through coordinating technical expertise, providing an effective interface with R&D and engaging in technical and scientific discussions with customers.
The Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
- Typically, a university degree is required, and a PhD/MBA or other advanced degree is preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the required skills;
- Typically requires at least 5 years of experience in high-tech product management environment;
- Customer oriented, with a proven ability to build consensus and get buy-in and participation from key stakeholders; strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels and an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences; fluent in English;

Tehtävässä toimitaan tutkijana ja hankekoordinaattorina Tansanian bioturvahankkeessa. Hankkeeseen liittyy myös terveydensuojelun tutkimus- ja kehittämistyötä. Tansanian bioturvahanke ”Strengthening Health and Biosecurity in Tanzania by Biodetection Capacity Building -Phase II, on Ulkoministeriön rahoittama.
Tehtävään liittyy matkustamista koti- ja ulkomailla (ulkomaan matkoja n. 1-2 krt/vuosi).

Palkkaukseen liittyvät tiedot
Puolustusvoimissa on käytössä tehtävän vaativuuden arviointiin perustuva palkkausjärjestelmä, jonka lisäksi maksetaan työssä menestymiseen perustuvaa henkilökohtaista palkanosaa. Aloittavan henkilön kokonaispalkka vaativuusluokassa ESJA 14-15 on koulutuksesta ja kokemuksesta riippuen 4 891,26 – 5 198,23 e/kk. Kyseessä on määräaikainen virkasuhde.

Laboratory Coordinator in Next Generation Sequencing
Description:
FIMM Tech Centre Sequencing Unit is a service laboratory providing tailored DNA and RNA analysis services for Finnish scientific community. Sequencing Unit has a long history for delivering Sanger and NGS sequencing services with state-of-the-art technologies. The unit supports research at University of Helsinki and functions as a national and international infrastructure platform for academic researchers.
We currently have an opening for a laboratory coordinator to support day-to-day operations and assay development. The primary activities of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Daily sample preparation workflows from isolated nucleic acids to next generation sequencing (NGS) libraries
• Scientific laboratory support for NGS projects
• Maintenance of laboratory and equipment
• Method and protocol development
The tasks include streamlining of internal processes such as ordering, managing inventories, experimental work and data management. The laboratory coordinator will work independently as well as closely in collaboration with researchers and staff in Sequencing unit and other units of FIMM Tech Centre.
Qualification and experience:
Candidates should have master’s degree or equivalent in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, biomedical laboratory science, engineering, or a related discipline including proven experience at least in assay development and nucleic acid analysis techniques like DNA/RNA extraction and quality control. Previous experience on NGS will be highly valued. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, and is able to work systematically. In addition, the candidate should be fluent in English, have good interpersonal and communication skills as well as a service-minded attitude.
Salary & contract:
The salary will commensurate with qualifications based on the university salary system. A contract will be offered initially for two years. Extension beyond this is possible depending on the availability of funding. A six-month trial period will be applied.
