Eurofins Electric & Electronics Finland Oy toimii Fimean nimeämänä ilmoitettuna laitoksena EU:n lääkinnällisiä laitteita koskevien asetusten (MDR ja IVDR) mukaisesti. Nyt haetaan asiantuntijoita Medical Devices -tiimiin. Työpaikka sijaitsee Tampereella, mutta työ onnistuu myös muissa toimipisteissä.

Tehtävän kuvaus
Haetaan asiantuntijaa, jolla on kokemusta in vitro -diagnostiikkaan (IVD) liittyvistä lääkinnällisistä laitteista ja joka haluaa kehittyä vaativaan asiantuntijarooliin. Eduksi katsotaan valmiudet toimia sisäisenä kliinikkona.

Asiantuntijan päätehtäviin kuuluu lääkinnällisten laitteiden ja valmistajien laadunhallintajärjestelmien auditointi sekä tuotteiden vaatimustenmukaisuuden arviointi CE-merkintää ja markkinoille saattamista varten.

Odotukset ja vaatimukset

  • Työkokemusta IVD-laitteiden parissa (esim. laboratoriotyö, tuotekehitys, kliiniset suorituskykyarvioinnit, validoinnit, laadunhallinta tai viranomaisvaatimukset)
  • Soveltuva korkeakoulututkinto (esim. biokemia, mikrobiologia, virologia, patologia, genetiikka)
  • Sisäisen kliinikon rooliin soveltuva pätevyys: sairaalakemisti, mikrobiologi, geneetikko tai kliinisen alan erikoislääkäri
  • Kokemusta laadunhallintajärjestelmistä (esim. ISO 13485) ja IVDR-vaatimuksista
  • Kyky itsenäiseen työskentelyyn ja teknisiin arviointeihin
  • Hyvä suomen ja englannin kielen taito
  • Valmius matkustaa (n. 30 päivää vuodessa)

VTT is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join its Protein Production team for a fixed-term three-year position starting in January 2026. The team focuses on filamentous fungi, particularly Trichoderma reesei, for the production of sustainable food and material proteins, enzyme mixtures, and therapeutic proteins.

The Postdoctoral Researcher will contribute to digitalizing and automating fungal strain development, using data-driven approaches, machine learning, and high-throughput experimentation within the Design-Build-Test-Learn framework. The role aims to accelerate the creation of high-quality cell factories, particularly for non-model organisms where biofoundry pipelines are still under development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Laboratory research to develop pipelines for high-throughput creation and analysis of T. reesei protein production strains
  • Developing and implementing automated methods, including AI-based analysis and predictive design, to screen high-performing fungal strains
  • Designing, developing, and optimizing fungal chassis strains for traits such as increased secretion, reduced carbon catabolite repression, and lower proteolytic activity
  • Establishing standards and metrics for biofoundry operations to translate small-scale data to larger-scale production
  • Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Disseminating research through publications and participating in public funding proposals
  • Supervising or mentoring junior team members

Qualifications:

  • PhD earned within the last five years in biotechnology, microbiology/biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with high-throughput methods, automation, and relevant programming languages
  • Knowledge of fungal biology, strain engineering, bioinformatics, or bioprocess engineering is an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken

HSY hakee vedenpuhdistusosaston käyttölaboratorioon Laboratoriopäällikköä vakituiseen tehtävään. Tehtävä sijaitsee Pitkäkosken vedenpuhdistuslaitoksella ja siihen kuuluu noin kymmenen laboratorio-osaajan yksikön johtaminen.

Research description

The goal is to functionally express and test key enzymes for the conversion of CO2 to fuels. The postdoc position is focussed on metalorganic enzymes involved in the transfer of alkyl-groups, which require oxygen-sensitive cofactors harbouring reduced metal centres, such as Co or Ni. The actual research is on a fundamental level, but the long-term goal is designing new routes to generate renewable fuels from CO2.

Research is carried out at our excellent facilities at Aalto University, School of Chemical Engineering (http://www.bioeconomyinfra.fi/). The laboratories are situated on the main campus of Aalto University in Otaniemi (short metro-ride from Helsinki) within the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems (https://www.aalto.fi/en/department-of-bioproducts-and-biosystems).
