TUKIJATOHTORIA, SOLU- JA MOLEKYYLIBIOLOGIA
alkaen 2.1.2023, tai sopimuksen mukaan, kahden vuoden määräajaksi.
Etsimme motivoitunutta tutkijaa työskentelemään akatemiatutkija Heikki Takalan tutkimusryhmässä Emil Aaltosen Säätion rahoittamassa projektissa, jossa kehitellään optogeneettista työkalua. Tämä työkalu perustuu erään valoreseptoriproteiinin, fytokromin toimintaan, ja se mahdollistaa punaisella valolla kontrolloidun geenien ilmentämisen nisäkässoluissa. Projekti sisältää optogeneettisen työkalun suunnittelua, kloonausta sekä testaamista nisäkässoluissa eri valotusolosuhteissa. Lisäksi projektissa tutkitaan työkalun fytokromikomponentin toimintaa biokemiallisilla menetelmillä.
Olet etsimämme henkilö, jos sinulla on tohtorin tutkinto soveltuvalta alalta ja kokemusta solubiologian perusmenetelmistä (nisäkässoluviljely, mikroskopointi, solujen karakterisointi)
Tutkijatohtorin tehtävistä, kelpoisuusvaatimuksista ja kielitaidosta määrätään yliopiston johtosäännössä ja kielitaito-ohjeistuksissa. Tehtävässä vaaditaan hyvää suomenkielen taitoa. Tohtorin tutkinto tulee olla suoritettu ennen tehtävässä aloittamista.

Tutkijatohtorin tehtäväkohtainen palkanosa määräytyy yliopistojen palkkausjärjestelmän opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön tehtävien vaativuustason 5-6 mukaan. Palkkasi on noin 3300 – 3900 euroa kuukaudessa riippuen aiemmasta osaamisestasi ja kokemuksestasi. Tehtävän alkaessa käytetään kuuden kuukauden koeaikaa.

Kuvaus projektista
Etsimme väitöskirjatutkijaa syövän hoitoresistenssiä tutkivaan projektiin.
Työskentely tapahtuu Turun proteomiikayksikössä ja Cancer Therapy Resistance -laboratoriossa. Molemmat laboratoriot sijaitsevat Biocityssä, Turussa, ja ovat sidoksissa Turun yliopistoon. Väitöskirjatutkija tulee työskentelemään osana monitieteistä ja kansainvälistä tutkimusryhmää. Tehtävä voidaan painottaa kokeelliseen tai laskennalliseen suuntaan, riippuen valitun henkilön osaamisesta.
Projekti keskittyy syöpäsolujen adaptaatioon BRAF-targetoituihin hoitoihin melanoomassa. Työtehtäviin sisältyy latentin hoitoresistenssin solulinja- ja xenograft-mallien, sekä BRAF-targetoitua hoitoa saaneiden melanoomapotilaiden jäännöskasvaimien karakterisaatio hyödyntäen yksisolu-transkriptomiikkaa ja -proteomiikkaa, targetoituja genomieditointi-tekniikoita ja muita nykyaikaisia solu- ja molekyylibiologian tekniikoita.
Työ tarjoaa kiinnostavia haasteita, dynaamisen työympäristön, pääsyn viimeisimpään tutkimusinfrastuktuuriin sekä mahdollisuuden kehittää uusia uraauurtavia yksisolu-tekniikoita.
Tehtävän edellytykset
Vaadittu osaaminen
- Maisterin tutkinto biotieteiden alalta (esim. Biokemia, biolääketiede tai bioinformatiikka) tai LL tutkinto. Myös pian valmistuvat FM tai LL -opiskelijat huomioidaan.
- Tehtävään haetaan ensisijaisesti väitöskirjatutkijaa tai projektitutkijaa. Mikäli tehtävään valittu henkilö on vasta viimeistelemässä maisterin tutkintoa, tehtävänimike on tutkinnon suorittamiseen saakka tutkimusavustaja.
- Englannin kielen erinomainen osaaminen, sekä kirjallisesti että suullisesti, on välttämätöntä.
- Aiempi kokemus solu- tai molekyylibiologiasta.
Seuraavat taidot katsotaan eduksi:
- Ohjelmointitaidot (esim. R tai Python).
- Kokemus soluviljelytekniikoista.
- Kokemus hiirimalleista.
Tehtävän kelpoisuusvaatimuksista on säädetty Turun yliopiston johtosäännössä. Mikäli tehtävään valittavalla ei ole tohtorintutkinnon opinto-oikeutta tehtävään valittaessa, tehtävä täytetään aluksi nimikkeellä projektitutkija 31.5.2023 asti ja tohtorintutkinnon opiskeluoikeutta haetaan seuraavassa mahdollisessa haussa (kevät 2023). Valintakriteerimme perustuvat pätevimmän ja sopivimman hakijan löytämiseen. Käytännössä tämä tarkoittaa, että koulutuksen, julkaisujen ja työkokemuksen lisäksi yksilökohtaiset ominaisuudet, motivaatio, kielitaito ja muut relevantit kriteerit otetaan huomioon.
Palkkaus ja työsuhteen kesto
Työ alkaa 1.3.2023, tai sovitun mukaisesti. Väitöskirjatutkijan nimikkeellä työsopimus on määräaikainen vuoden 2025 loppuun ja sitä voidaan jatkaa mahdollisuuksien mukaan. Tehtävässä on kuuden (6) kuukauden koeaika.
Palkka määräytyy yliopistojen työehtosopimuksen perusteella. Tehtävä kuuluu tutkimushenkilökuntaamme, ja palkka väitöskirjatutkijalle tai projektitutkijalle on noin 2500-2800€/kk ja tutkimusavustajalle noin 2032 -2280€/kk.

Tehtävä ja palkkaus
Välinehuoltajan tehtävässä vastaat itsenäisesti luonnontieteiden, metsätieteiden ja tekniikan tiedekunnan tutkimus- ja opetuslaboratorioiden välineiden ja laitteiden pesusta, desinfioinnista ja käyttövalmiudesta. Välinehuollon toiminnot on keskitetty kolmeen eri rakennukseen, joiden välinehuoltopisteisissä tehtävät hoidetaan.
Välinehuoltajan tehtäviin kuuluu:
- välineistön kerääminen, puhdistaminen, desinfiointi, tarkastaminen, kokoaminen, pakkaaminen ja sterilointi sekä toimittaminen takaisin yksiköihin
- välinehuollossa käytettävien koneiden ja laitteiden puhdistaminen
- työmenetelmien jatkuvaan kehittämiseen ja suunnitteluun osallistuminen
Työpisteen vaihtuminen päivittäin vaatii hyvää organisointikykyä ja työn suunnittelua yksiköiden yhteyshenkilöiden kanssa. Välinehuoltaja vastaa hyvästä ja toimivasta välinehuollosta sekä laadukkaasta asiakaspalvelusta. Työ on fyysistä yksivuorotyötä.
Tehtävä täytetään 1.3.2023 tai sopimuksen mukaan alkaen toistaiseksi. Uuden työntekijän tullessa tehtävään käytetään koeaikaa.
Tehtävän palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen palkkausjärjestelmän (muu henkilöstö) mukaisesti. Palkka koostuu tehtäväkohtaisesta palkanosasta ja henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvasta palkanosasta. Tässä tehtävässä tehtäväkohtainen palkanosa on vaativuustasoluokittelussa tasolla 4. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa, joka on 6 – 50 % tehtäväkohtaisesta palkanosasta. Tehtävään valittavan kokemuksesta ja osaamisesta riippuen palkka työsuhteen alkaessa on noin 2250 – 2350 €/kk.

Responsibilities
In support of our In Vivo Pharmacology teams, develop and execute laboratory work, plans/schedules independently following division/site performance standards and metrics. Techniques may include any or all of the following:

- Author technical documents, such as study protocols, study reports, and operating procedures

Qualifications

We are looking for 1-2 motivated Doctoral Researchers who have enthusiasm for the development of protein-based next-generation second-generation vaccine technologies against pandemic pathogens.
Job description
Business Finland, Tampere Tuberculosis Foundation and Finnish Cultural Foundation-funded project PREPARE at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology will demonstrate proof-of-concept for the functionality of our protein-based coronavirus vaccine, strongly emphasizing the identification of the optimal route of commercialization for the developed vaccine.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for highly motivated Doctoral Researchers to contribute to the research, proof-of-concept as well as commercialization activities of the developed vaccines. Full-time doctoral studies are expected to be completed in four years.
Requirements
The project is intended for any suitable candidate with MSc degree in the field of molecular cell biology, biotechnology, immunology, protein engineering, process engineering, bioprocess development, immunobiology or any other relevant field connected to vaccine development, vaccine manufacturing or immunology. We value efficiency, perseverance, flexibility, positive team-player attitude, honesty, motivation, and skills to learn new things. In this regard, we greatly appreciate your success in your previous assignments. However, you may be able to convince your suitability to the project with successful application and interview as well.
Extra credits are given if your track record shows experience from the following:

As part of our company growth we are seeking a R&D Production Technician to support the Bio-team. The Production Technician will report to the Bio-team leader. The location for the job is in our facilities in Helsinki, Finland.
Job Purpose
To produce nanoformed materials for customer and internal projects. The R&D Production Team in Nanoform will be working on a shift rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Run the production lines in a safe and effective manner following all applicable Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs)
· Sample raw materials and finished goods in accordance with SOPs.
· Produce shift reports and fill in tracking sheets as required.
· Assembly and cleaning of the R&D production line and associated equipment according to standards and SOPs as required and record in log-books.
· Adhere to health, safety and environment rules at all times.
· Assist in the production and review of SOPs
· Work with the QC, Pharmaceutical Development, and Engineering teams as required.
Required Education and Experience
· Ideally a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience in Pharmaceutical or Process industry.
· Good technical knowledge and understanding of laboratory procedures, methodology and standards.
· Proven track record in product manufacture to high standards of safety and quality.
· Capacity to produce clear records and data reports.

Your Role:
This role entails providing remote post-sales technical support to our customers and colleagues with product solutions across Chromatography, as well as multi-vendor systems solutions. Which requires reactive actions that result in a timely and cost-effective problem resolution for customers and proactive preventive actions. Occasionally, you will visit customer sites for onsite missions.
- Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems of customer inquiries by telephone, e-mail, or other remote support tools.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
- Active co-operation with colleagues from service, sales, and support in the national and international environment
- Prepare the service assignments for our field teams (defining the required repair parts and creating repair recommendations for our customer support engineers)
- Registration and documentation of the provided support services in the SAP CRM system

Your Profile:
- A bachelor degree, Master degree, or equivalent in the field of chemistry, instrumental analysis, biology, food chemistry or a related field.
- Have user experience in instrument data analysis software, problem-solving skills, particularly for fixing, applications support, and/or general instrument maintenances.
Apart from these more technical skills, we are also looking for:
- A strong drive to learn and expand your skills, enjoy working remotely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English is essential, the ability to coordinate and prioritize efficiently.
- A good knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and processes, ensuring compliance with Agilent’s Quality standards, ability to handle customer expectations and balance customer requirements with business needs.
- A good theoretical as well as practical knowledge in chromatography (LC, GC, LCMS, or GCMS) and mass spectrometry. Previous experience with chromatography data systems software is advantageous.

We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) to grow our Food Protection business across the Nordics. As TSS, you will be responsible for maximizing sales of our workflows with a primary focus on Molecular whilst promoting Thermo Fisher Scientific as the technology leader in Food Protection.

- Well organized individual with ability to establish business objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English language and one of the Nordic languages.

We at FinVector keep growing and we are now looking for Technicians to reinforce our Quality Control team. We are looking employees for cell culturing and general analytics’ tasks.
Quality Control team is responsible for in-process and release testing of the manufactured batches in order to prove they are acceptable for patient use. In Quality Control by analysing our products, you will ensure their quality and the patient safety. If you enjoy a work that requires accuracy and systematic grip, you might be the one we are looking for.
Your main responsibility is to conduct in-house testing analytics in our Quality Control labs including sampling, running the assays and finally reporting the results. In addition, you will be responsible to update related QC documentation and participate in investigations according GMP regulations.
In order to succeed, you will need to have a degree in Laboratory Technology or Bioanalyst (laboratory assistant or comparable) and have a good command of English (oral and written). We are looking for a knowledgeable and growing group of Technicians to our production plant for various Manufacturing operations.
For example, you may have a background as a laboratory assistant, bioanalyst, process worker, or equipment maintainer. We have four teams in production and we are seeking new reinforcements as our operations grow rapidly. In the Buffer team, we prepare all the solutions we use in production, in the Upstream team, we start the production process with cell culture and continue by growing the cells in the bioreactors. During the process, the cells are infected and eventually harvested. From Upstream, the product is transferred to the Downstream team, which in turn purifies the product using chromatographic methods so that the product is finally ready to be filled into glass vials.
You will succeed in the tasks if you are precise and systematic in your work approach and you are not afraid of equipment or challenges / changing situations. We have English as a working language, so you must have a good command of oral and written English. Above all, however, we are looking for nice colleagues with a can-do attitude.
