Tampere, tuo mustamakkaran ja Manserockin kotikaupunki, sai torstaina 14.11. uuden sulan hattuunsa, kun Suomen Solubiologit ry:n seminaari rantautui ensimmäistä kertaa Pirkanmaan kamaralle. Tämän Life Science Business & Innovation -teemalla markkinoidun tapahtuman suunnittelu aloitettiin seuran hallituksen voimin heti huhtikuussa vuosijuhlahumun hälvettyä. Hallituslaisten osoitteiden sijaitessa poikkeuksetta muualla kuin Pirkanmaalla tarvitsimme kuitenkin myös kaksoisagentin Tampereen yliopiston sisältä. Kyseiseen tehtävään valikoitui lehtemme paikallistoimittaja Elina Mäntylä, jonka apu osoittautui lopulta korvaamattomaksi niin seminaaritilojen hankinnassa kuin sponsorien rekrytoinnissakin. Hänen lisäkseen saimme avuksi myös paikallisen bioteknologian opiskelijoiden ainejärjestön Biopsi ry:n, jonka kanssa oli jo korkea aika päästä yhteistyöhön muullakin tavoin kuin somenäkyvyyden saralla. Heille lankesi vastuu välikahvituksen ja seminaarin jälkeisen verkostoitumistilaisuuden tarjoiluista.

Paikan päälle Tampereelle pääsi lopulta neljä hallituslaista, eikä tämän kaliiperin tapahtuman toteutus olisi paikallisvahvistukset huomioidenkaan paljoa pienemmällä porukalla onnistunut. Viimesyksyisessä Turun työelämäseminaarissa tehty osallistujaennätys ylitettiin jo pelkkien kampukselle saapuneiden voimin ja lisäksi myös etäosallistujia oli linjoilla ennätyslukema. Paikalla oli väkeä Tampereen yliopiston lisäksi ainakin Itä-Suomen, Jyväskylän sekä Turun yliopistoista ja edustusta täydensivät edellä mainittujen ohella Helsingin ja Oulun yliopistojen sekä Åbo Akademin affiliaatioilla varustetut etäosallistujat. Viime hetken ilmoittautumiset mukaan lukien lopullinen osallistujamäärä lähenteli peräti kahtasataa luoden erinomaiset puitteet rekrytoimallemme puhujakattaukselle sekä verkostoitumismahdollisuuksille.

Seminaarin ensimmäistä puoliskoa väritti vahvasti paikallinen edustus, kun lavan valtasivat perätysten Tampereen yliopiston innovaatiopalveluiden Helena Lähdekorpi, BioMediTech- laitoksen johtaja, professori Jari Hyttinen sekä OrganAnalytics R2B-projektia esitellyt Jarno Tanskanen. Ennen välikahvitusta ääneen pääsivät myös UPM Biomedicalsia edustanut Tomi Saviluoto sekä PrecisionPhage Oy:n edustaja Olli Pitkänen. Luentosalin vaihdon sekä sitä seuranneen kahvituksen ja tapahtuman sponsorien pöytien kiertelyn jälkeen oli jälleen aika keskittyä kuuntelemaan lisää mielenkiintoisia esityksiä. Toisen seminaaripuoliskon alku oli kuvantamispainotteinen Jenni Karttusen esitellessä Tampereen valomikroskopiakeskusta ja Elina Mäntylän kertoessa Euro-BioImagingin toiminnasta. Seuraavaksi estradin valtasivat Genevia Technologies Oy:n edustaja Thomas Liuksiala sekä StemSight Oy:n toimitusjohtaja Laura Koivusalo. Viimeisenä esiintyjänä ääneen pääsi Jyväskylän yliopiston professori Varpu Marjomäki aiheenaan luonnon antiviraaliset aineet. Seminaariosuuden jälkeen järjestettyyn verkostoitumistilaisuuteen jäi myös runsaasti osallistujia nauttimaan sinne tuoduista herkuista sekä tutustumaan paremmin seminaaripuhujiin ja tapahtumaa sponsoroineisiin yrityksiin.

Loppusiivoilujen jälkeen hallituslaiset kävivät vielä juhlistamassa äärimmäisen onnistunutta tapahtumaa illallisen merkeissä ennen kotimatkaansa. Väsyneen, mutta onnellisen järjestäjän mieltä lämmitti äärettömän paljon osallistujilta tullut positiivinen palaute, ja tunnelma olikin illallisella mitä mainioin. Tapahtuman perusteella on selvää, että yhdistyksen oli korkea aika tehdä itsensä näkyväksi Tampereella, emmekä olisi onnistuneet siinä puoliksikaan yhtä hyvin ilman Elina Mäntylän ja Biopsi ry:n apua. Tällainen yleisöryntäys yllätti meidät kaikki, mutta samalla se valaa uskoa uusien yliopistokaupunkien valloitukseen tulevaisuudessa. Seuraava seminaarikaupunkimme on toistaiseksi päättämättä, mutta Tampereelle Suomen Solubiologit ry palaa aivan varmasti tulevinakin vuosina. Näin upeaa seminaarikansaa ei voi unohtaa!

This is a really exciting opportunity for a Preclinical Imaging Scientist to join a well-established CRO located in Kuopio, Finland. This is a brand-new role to join a team of 5 (Nuclear Imaging Scientist, MRI Imaging Scientist, Electrophysiologist and 2 Data Analysts) as the lab expands their capability in oncology/neuro science.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in multimodal in vivo imaging techniques for rodents (PET, SPECT, MRI, ultrasound, optical), with a focus on nuclear imaging and MRI. Experience with oncology models is preferred. Day-to-day you will report to the Group Leader as part of a multi-disciplinary preclinical research team.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, creative, and data-driven professional who is excited about the challenge of building a brand in a revolutionary deep-tech field. You will have the unique opportunity to build and lead marketing efforts that communicate our mission and position PrecisionPhage as an integral part of the emerging bacteriophage technology ecosystem.
The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings and work in Jyväskylä OR Turku. Therefore, we particularly focus on applications from people residing in Jyväskylä OR Turku regions.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, refine, execute & update marketing strategy: With our executive team, you will play an integral part in creating a comprehensive marketing strategy to meet company goals.
Take role in brand development, ensuring clear and compelling messaging that aligns with and promotes company mission and vision.
Develop, execute, and oversee content and brand asset creation and publication across various channels.
With our executive team, create a comprehensive tracking system enabling data-driven marketing efforts. Report key data to company executives.
Plan and execute various digital campaigns.
Take part in company meetings sharing ideas and reporting progress.
Take part in national and international conferences (optional).
Qualifications:
Education: Suitable degree in marketing, communications, or another related field. A background in science or healthcare communications is a bonus.
Experience: Experience in marketing, strategy work, and content creation. Basic understanding of bacteriophages, bioinformatics, biotechnology industry and start-up sectors are strong pluses.
Skills:
Proven expertise in digital marketing.
Excellent English writing skills.
Content and brand asset creation with relevant tools such as Adobe Illustrator /Photoshop, Figma, Canva.
Tasteful and restrained utilisation of various AI tools.
Strong analytical skills with experience using marketing analytics tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple responsibilities.
Basic level of Microsoft Office tools

Tehtävänkuvaus: Markkinointipäällikkönä olet avainasemassa markkinointistrategiamme, brändimme ja viestintämme suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa alusta alkaen. Tämä rooli sopii käytännönläheiselle, luovalle ja dataohjautuvalle ammattilaiselle, joka on innostunut rakentamaan brändiä kasvavalla syväteknologian kentällä. Sinulla on ainutlaatuinen mahdollisuus rakentaa ja johtaa markkinointitoimia, jotka välittävät missiotamme ja asemoivat PrecisionPhagen olennaiseksi osaksi kehittyvää bakteriofagiteknologian ekosysteemiä.
Tehtävä on pääasiassa etätyötä, mutta satunnaisia tapaamisia ja työskentelyä paikan päällä Jyväskylässä TAI Turussa. Siksi keskitymme erityisesti hakijoihin, jotka asuvat Jyväskylän TAI Turun alueella.

Keskeiset vastuualueet:
Kehitä, muokkaa, toteuta ja päivitä markkinointistrategiaa: Yhdessä johtoryhmän kanssa luot kattavan markkinointistrategian yrityksen tavoitteiden saavuttamisen edistämiseksi.
Ota vastuuta brändin kehittämisestä varmistaen, että viestintämme on selkeää ja vakuuttavaa ja tukee yrityksen missiota ja visiota.
Kehitä, toteuta ja hallinnoi sisällön ja brändiaineistojen luomista ja julkaisua eri kanavissa.
Luo yhdessä johtoryhmän kanssa kattava seuranta- ja raportointijärjestelmä, joka mahdollistaa dataohjautuvan markkinoinnin. Raportoi keskeiset tulokset yrityksen johdolle.
Suunnittele ja toteuta erilaisia digitaalisia kampanjoita.
Osallistu yrityksen sisäisiin kokouksiin tuoden uusia ideoita ja raportoi edistymisestä.
Osallistu kansallisiin ja kansainvälisiin konferensseihin (ei pakollinen).
Pätevyydet:
Koulutus: Soveltuva tutkinto markkinoinnin, viestinnän tai muun vastaavan alan opinnoista. Tausta tieteen tai terveysalan viestinnässä on etu.
Kokemus: Kokemusta markkinoinnista, strategiatyöstä ja sisällöntuotannosta. Perustiedot bakteriofageista, bioinformatiikasta, bioteknologiateollisuudesta ja startup-sektorista ovat vahvoja plussia.
