Päätehtäväsi on:
Toimia asiantuntijana lääkeaineiden puhdistusprosesseissa.
Osallistua lääkeainetuotannon työhön, eli proteiinien ja geeniterapiatuotteiden puhdistukseen, ja sen suunnitteluun. Työ tehdään kehityslaboratoriossa ja/tai puhdastiloissa.
Työhön ja projekteihin liittyvä raportointi ja dokumentointi.

Turun yliopiston lääketieteellisen tiedekunnan biolääketieteen laitokseen kuuluva syöpätutkimusryhmä Medical Immune Oncology Research Group (MIORG, https://www.miorg.fi/) hakee tutkijatohtoria määräaikaiseen tehtävään immunobiologiaan ja -terapiaan liittyvään hankkeeseen. Hankkeessa hyödynnetään syöpätutkimuksen uusinta teknologiaa ja tutkimusmenetelmiä (esim. virtaussytometria) metastaattisen syövän näytteiden immunoprofilointiin ja eläin- ja humaanikudosten bioanalyysiin. MIORG on dosentti Rogerio De Figueiredon johtama kansainvälinen tutkimusryhmä. De Figueiredo on akatemiatutkija ja InFLAMES-yhteistyökumppani. Ryhmän työkieli on pääasiassa englanti.
Valitun henkilön toivotaan aloittavan huhtikuussa (tai sopimuksen mukaan). Tehtävä voidaan täyttää tällä hetkellä 31.5.2023 asti. Tehtävän jatkosta tämän jälkeen päätetään erikseen kevään 2023 aikana, jonka jälkeen sitä voidaan mahdollisesti jatkaa 30.11.2023 asti.
Tehtävään valittavalla hakijalla tulee olla tohtorin tutkinto joltakin soveltuvalta tieteenalalta (solubiologia, molekyylibiologia, biolääketiede, biokemia, immunologia tai vastaava), ja kokemusta fluorensessivärjäyksistä virtaussytometriä varten. Aiempi kokemus lääkekehityksestä, lääkkeen valmistuksesta ja funktionaalisten kontrollien suunnittelusta farmakodynaamisia tutkimuksia varten on välttämätöntä.
Hakijalle katsotaan eduksi seuraavat seikat:
aiempi kokemus eläintyöstä ja lupa eläintöihin Suomessa
kudosviljelymenetelmien osaaminen ja aiempi kokemus humaani- ja eläinnäytteiden käsittelystä
menetelmäosaaminen seuraavissa: RNA:n eristys, kvantitatiivinen RT-PCR, proteiinien eristys, western blot ja ELISA.
Lisäksi hakijan on osoitettava oma-aloitteisuutta ja itsenäisyyttä, ja hänellä on oltava hyvät viestintätaidot ja kyky työskennellä tehokkaasti osana tiimiä. Tehtävän kelpoisuus-vaatimuksista on säädetty Turun yliopiston johtosäännöissä.

Palkka
Tehtäväkohtainen palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen palkkausjärjestelmän opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkajärjestelmän mukaisesti ja on noin 3226-3500 €/kk.

Your main responsibilities will include:
Culture of both primary and established mammalian cells
Support immunology scientist with in vitro and ex vivo cell based assays
Process blood samples by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Analysis of samples employing specific techniques such as flow cytometry, cell sorting, qRT-PCR, western blotting, multiplexELISA and incucyte assays.
Assist in establishing and improving all procedures and required SOP documentation.
Maintain high standards of recordkeeping, housekeeping and participate in routine laboratory decontamination

Postdoctoral Researcher in Biochemistry / Enzymology
Research description
The goal is to functionally express and test key enzymes for the conversion of CO2 to fuels. The postdoc position is focussed on metalorganic enzymes involved in the transfer of alkyl-groups, which require oxygen-sensitive cofactors harbouring reduced metal centres, such as Co or Ni. The actual research is on a fundamental level, but the long-term goal is designing new routes to generate renewable fuels from CO2.

Etsimme motivoitunutta tutkijaa työskentelemään akatemiatutkija Heikki Takalan tutkimusryhmässä Emil Aaltosen Säätion rahoittamassa projektissa, jossa kehitellään optogeneettista työkalua. Tämä työkalu perustuu erään valoreseptoriproteiinin, fytokromin toimintaan, ja se mahdollistaa punaisella valolla kontrolloidun geenien ilmentämisen nisäkässoluissa. Projekti sisältää optogeneettisen työkalun suunnittelua, kloonausta sekä testaamista nisäkässoluissa eri valotusolosuhteissa. Lisäksi projektissa tutkitaan työkalun fytokromikomponentin toimintaa biokemiallisilla menetelmillä.
