Toimiva konsepti

HealthTechPro RekryKoulutuksessa yhdistyvät käytännön työtehtävät sekä ammatillista kehittymistäsi tukeva asiantuntijakoulutus. 6 kuukautta (12.3.-7.9.2018) kestävän ohjelman aikana työskentelet yhteistyöyrityksessä käytännön työtehtävissä ja projekteissa. Lisäksi saat reilun 20 päivän terveysteknologian asiantuntijakoulutuksen, joka mahdollistaa kehittymisesi alalle. Pääkouluttajana toimivat Healthtech Finlandin asiantuntijat.

We are seeking for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher or Project Researcher (molecular biologist) to join the Academy of Finland funded project studying ‘SUMOylation-regulated genome-wide responses in cell stress and steroid signaling’ led by Prof. Jorma Palvimo. We are interested in the genomic actions of androgen (AR) and glucocorticoid receptor (GR) and the molecular mechanisms by which SUMOylation regulates interactions of transcription factors and transcription programs. We also aim at discovering novel means to target the AR and the GR in prostate cancer cells. We use a pattern of state-of-the-art biochemical, molecular and cell biological techniques, including genome-wide ChIP-seq and GRO-seq, MS proteomics as well as cell imaging techniques.
 
The position is filled for a fixed term from 1.3.2018 to 31.8.2019.

Senior Researcher in Breast Cancer Phosphoproteogenomics at the Centre for Biotechnology, University of Turku, Finland

Position for PhD (or soon-to-be) is available in the laboratory of Professor Jukka Westermarck at the Centre for Biotechnology, University of Turku, Finland (https://www.btk.fi/research/cancer-cell-signaling/). We are looking for a highly-motivated researcher to join our dynamic research group broadly focused on phosphoproteome signalling in human cancers.
 
Recent very rapidly accumulating data from others and us indicate that breast cancer progression and therapy responses are critically regulated at the phosphoproteome level, and that combination of genomic and phosphoproteome information (phosphoproteogenomics) may lead to better patient stratification strategies. The project is funded by Breast Cancer Now ([http://www.breastcancernow.org)]www.breastcancernow.org)and is focused on characterization of phosphoproteogenomics of human breast cancer cells, and on use of that information for prediction of breast cancer patient therapy responses. The project involves very close collaboration with strong bioinformatics, drug screening and breast cancer tissue explant teams with a common goal to advance the acquired information to future clinical practice.

Turku Centre for Biotechnology (TCB), University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, is a top-quality research center harbouring several research groups with distinguished publication profile (http://www.btk.fi/).
