About the job
Colorectal cancer, the third most common cancer, is a highly heterogeneous disease at both molecular and morphological levels. Its progression is shaped by complex interactions between tumor cells and the surrounding stromal and immune cells. Our research group focuses on three key areas: (1) identifying the factors that drive colorectal cancer heterogeneity, (2) uncovering the role of tumor-host interactions in disease progression, and (3) developing novel biomarkers to advance precision medicine.
As a doctoral researcher in our group, you will participate in the analysis of large colorectal cancer cohorts. You will apply techniques such as multiplex immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, spatial transcriptomics to uncover the molecular variations that drive tumor phenotypes in colorectal cancer. You will apply data analysis methods and bioinformatics analyses to analyze large-scale molecular data. The findings of the project could refine future tumor classification systems, aid in developing novel biomarkers, and enable more personalized treatment approaches.
The doctoral training will give you a strong background for future tissue-based research related to cancer biology, tumor immunology, and bioinformatics. It will offer rich opportunities for networking, mobility, and further career development after completing the PhD in three years.

The Human Brown Fat Metabolism Research Group at the Turku PET Centre is seeking a fixed-term Doctoral Researcher. The research focuses on investigating the role of signalling molecules that may influence the metabolism of brown fat in health and metabolic diseases. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting translational and clinical research studies using advanced medical imaging methods. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to explore personal research ideas, engage in other compelling side projects, undertake international research visits, and benefit from access to unique datasets, providing excellent prospects for advancing their research career.
The position is fixed-term, starting as soon as possible or based on mutual agreement. Initially, the contract will be offered for one year with the strong possibility of an extension for an additional year. Yhteistyössä viranomaisten kanssa pysyttelet ajanhermolla muuttuvista testausvaatimuksista ja varmistat, että asiakkaillemme tarjoamat testauspalvelut täyttävät viranomaisten asettamat vaatimukset.
Mikrobiologian laboranttiemme lähiesimiehenä tuet tiimisi hyvää työilmapiiriä ja varmistat, että hommat sujuvat. Sinulla on käytännön kokemusta mikrobiologisista viljelymenetelmistä, laadunvarmistuksesta mikrobiologian laboratoriossa ja uusien analyysimenetelmien validoinnista.

Hakijalta edellytämme: -Tehtävään soveltuvaa koulutusta mikrobiologiasta, esim. ETM, MMM, FM -Ulospäin suuntautuneisuutta, oma-aloitteisuutta, päätöksentekokykyä ja hyvää tiimihenkeä
Katsomme eduksi elintarvikemikrobiologian osaamisen, kokemuksen uusien analyysimenetelmien validoinnista, työskentelyn akkreditoidussa testauslaboratoriossa, aiemman esimieskokemuksen ja IT-taidot (esim. LIMS, V2L).

Your role
As a Specialist in Quality Assurance, your main task is to ensure that manufacturing operations at FinVector comply with GMP and regulatory requirements. This involves reviewing and approving various GMP documents, including batch manufacturing records (BMRs), batch filling records (BFRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), out-of-specification reports (OOXs), testing records, deviations, GMP project documents, and risk assessments. You will also be involved in solving manufacturing, testing, and quality system-related problems, depending on your team.
Your work will primarily focus on documentation, information, and project management. This includes interpreting multiple data sources and making informed decisions based on the information you gather. If you enjoy work that requires accuracy, a systematic approach, and managing entire projects, this role might be a good fit for you.
We are looking for team members for one permanent position and two fixed-term positions (until November 30, 2025). The work will start on November 4th, with the team working Monday to Friday mainly from 8 am to 4 pm.

Degree in cell biology, pharmacy, biochemistry, bioprocessing engineering or related field.
Knowledge and understanding of quality systems and GMP-regulations.
Ability to make rational and analytical decisions based on the data and find new solutions to clear obstacles.
Systematic approach and prioritization skills.
Efficient working style to manage entireties and achieve the goals, but also precise attention to details.
Ability to easily adjust to changing situations.
Having an understanding or previous experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance, Healthtech industry, or aseptic processes is considered an advantage.
We seek a self-directed, proactive individual with strong collaboration and teamwork skills. You should communicate clearly, present issues constructively, and offer solutions. Managing deadlines and handling pressure is crucial. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. You will work in an office environment but will operate in a cleanroom or laboratory when needed. For example, in a support role, you might assist with procedures or provide documentation support to ensure compliance with GMP standards.
