We are now looking for a Scientist, Life Science Applications to join our Biomedicals team for a temporary position (1.1.2023–31.12.2024) in Biomedicum, Helsinki, Finland.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and carry out assays and protocols for high throughput screening (HTS) and advanced 3D cell cultures for internal and external parties
- Plan and steer product development projects
- Prepare and communicate results in the form of reports, SOPs, and technical presentations
- Guide visiting researchers and/or technicians
- Participate in scientific conferences, visiting customers on site
- Provide scientific viewpoints, judgment and solutions that help us in protocol or business development
- Be expert on the forefront alongside our business team, discussing with our clients about their assay development
Who You Are
- You have PhD degree or equivalent experience in laboratory in the fields of Cell Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, or a related discipline
- You have excellent laboratory skills, experience in working with 3D cell cultures is essential
- You have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- You have attention to detail especially when preparing and executing experiments
- You have readiness to work in an interdisciplinary and evolving environment
- You have excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Previous experience in teaching or guiding others is considered a benefit
- Previous experience with automated dispensing systems is considered a plus
