Charles River Laboratories is seeking a Bioanalytical Specialist to join its Science team in Kuopio. This one-year fixed-term, full-time position supports expanding scientific operations within a global CRO environment.
The role focuses on the design, development, validation, and execution of LC-MS-based bioanalytical methods for small molecules, peptides, ASOs, proteins, metabolites, and other analytes in biological matrices. Responsibilities include leading method development activities, troubleshooting LC-MS workflows, ensuring high-quality data generation, and maintaining compliance with internal quality standards. The specialist works closely with study directors, laboratory technicians, and cross-functional project teams.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field, with a minimum of three years’ hands-on LC-MS bioanalysis experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO settings. Strong expertise in LC-MS method development and data analysis software (e.g., Analyst, MassLynx, Tracefinder, Skyline) is required. Fluency in English and a valid EU work permit are mandatory.
Salary follows the Finnish Chemical Industry collective agreement.
