ABSTRACT
The Finnish Red Cross Blood Service (FRCBS), a not-for-profit organization, is the nationwide blood service provider in Finland and our main task is to provide the Finnish hospitals with various blood cell products for treating patients. The FRCBS is also active in the cell therapy field and hosts the Advanced Cell Therapy Centre with its GMP facilities for the development and manufacturing of novel cell therapy products. The presentation will shed light on past and on-going cell therapy programs with specific focus on mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) from basic biology, immunomodulatory mechanisms, GMP manufacturing and clinical use.

Participants can send questions they would like to be addressed in the presentation to Johanna Nystedt (johanna.nystedt@bloodservice.fi).

The seminar is organized by Kuopio Center for Gene and Cell Therapy (KCT).
The event, which is free of charge and open to everyone interested, will be held in English. No registration needed. Welcome!
