The group focuses on molecular mechanisms of thyroid disorders. We are studying thyroid genetics in patients with congenital or hereditary thyroid diseases via in silico, in vitro methods, or genetically modified disease models.

The research project focuses on novel gene mutations and testing their pathogenicity in vitro and in vivo. The work involves analyzing next-generation sequencing data and generation and phenotyping of new disease models. The researcher will closely work with technicians and PhD-students in the group.
