Turku Bioscience

University of Turku, Finland

Salary: 3145 – 3405 € per month

Application closing date: 31st October 2020

Start date: January 2021 (open to negotiation)

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to join the group of Prof Johanna Ivaska (https://ivaskalab.utu.fi/) to work on an exciting project in cancer biology. While the main component is fundamental academic research, the project is closely linked to a drug discovery project with a biotech company.

We aim to recruit an outstanding individual who has a strong collaborative nature, effective communication skills and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team. The applicant will have successfully completed a PhD in a field relevant to the molecular and cellular biology of cancer and have published at least one peer-reviewed article. Experience in cancer biology, mammalian cell culture, molecular biology and in vitro and in vivo cancer models would also be an advantage.

Applications must be submitted no later than October 31st, 2020 via the University of Turku’s electronic application system www.utu.fi/careers.
