Postdoctoral researcher position (Synthetic biology & antibody technologies)
The Jeltsch Laboratory in the Translational Cancer Biology Program at the University of Helsinki is developing a new in-vitro antibody generation technology and is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the team. The project involves – apart from enthusiasm and dedication – the setup of novel methods and requires knowledge and experience in the areas of molecular biology (cloning, mutagenesis), E. coli genetics, protein analysis (Western, IP, ELISA) purification (basics) and cell culture (transfection). Knowledge in bioinformatics will be advantageous. The project details will be discussed in the job interview.
The postdoctoral position is for two years and can start as soon as a suitable candidate is found with a probation period, after which the candidate will replace our leading postdoc who will go on maternity leave. A prolongation thereafter is possible. The salary is based on the standard University of Helsinki salary system. The closing date for applications is September 11, 2016 and the candidate should be able to start work at the latest on September 31, 2016.
Please send your application including CV, motivation letter and names of two people who would be willing to provide references with contact information as one pdf-document tomichael@jeltsch.org with a notification “Postdoc position” in the title of the mail.
