We are now looking for an experienced research assistant to join our R&D team.
In this position, you will play an essential role in supporting research projects with a project team and contribute towards our greater goal of providing animal-free egg protein ingredients to the world. We aim to play a significant role in building the sustainable food system with the help of our partners throughout the world. Towards this goal our team utilizes microbial production systems for expressing egg white proteins using filamentous fungi.
Your responsibilities as Research Assistant:
· Supporting RnD team by carrying out laboratory work including molecular biology and bioprocessing
· Executing tasks in experimental work including DNA cloning, protein analysis and purification, and work with microorganisms (e.g., bacteria and filamentous fungi)
· Keeping a lab notebook and reporting results to scientists
· Helping maintain the research lab facilities and instruments
Who we are looking for:
· Completed technical degree in laboratory sciences
· Experience with molecular biology (DNA and/or protein) techniques
· Basic knowledge of molecular biology
· Sufficient English language skills to document results and follow working instructions
· Experience in working with bacteria, yeasts, or fungi, would be an advantage
· Over 2 years of lab experience
