Job description

The Requirements:

  • As the Sales Executive you must have 2+ Years of experience within a: Area Sales Manager, Sales Representative, Territory Manager or similar role working in the Life Sciences reagents/ Laboratory Consumables industry, ideally you will selling Cell Biology products or additionally you could be selling Molecular Biology / Reagents, Assays, ELISA or Western Blotting
  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, a Cellular Biology, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology background would be beneficial in order to be technically strong within the Sales Executive role
  • You could be based in any city across Finland in order to cover the territory
  • Have experience with CRO, Biotech or Academic accounts on the territory

The Responsibilities:

    • Within the Sales Executive you will be responsible for visiting customers at least 3 days per week to sell biological reagents to the Life Science Industry, for the following purposes: Build the customer database in the defined territory, Introduce and sell brands and products to customers such as: Molecular, Cell Biology Reagents, Assays, Antibodies, ELISA, Proteins, Western Blotting as well as a small amount of machines (5%)
    • Handle commercial issues arising e.g. negotiations, tenders, etc. in conjunction with management, Provide technical advice to customers where necessary, Obtain referrals and prospect for new business within existing accounts and in new accounts
    • Plan and implement sales strategy to achieve sales budget whilst developing a regional business plan to drive business, you will also effectively manage key accounts such as CRO’s and Biotechnology mainly and also Academia and Universities
    • Represent the company and maintain a professional manner at scientific exhibitions, providing feedback to territory managers and internal sales team on the sales area, successes and difficulties of implementing your sales strategy, competition and the state of the market via regularly sales reports, and CRM system, submission of expenses
    • Provide customer with regular contact and exceptional customer service including: Maintain a regular and high level of contact with customers via telephone to build on the relationships established by visits, Ensure customer database is regularly updated and all relevant information is logged and downloaded within the required timescale
