#SuomenSolubiologit ry:n vuoden 2024 hallituslaisten esittelyvuorossa on Meeri Niemi, joka on yksi täysin uusista hallituslaisista, jotka saatiin mukaan SSB:n hallitukseen tänä vuonna. Meeri auttaa Vilmaa ja Hennaa tiedotussihteerin tehtävissä 😊 Mahtavaa, kun ollaan saatu niin hyvä edustus Jyväskylästä hallitukseen! 🤗
”Moi! Olen viime keväänä valmistunut solu- ja molekyylibiologian maisterina Jyväskylän yliopistosta, jossa jatkan nyt väitöskirjatutkijana. Väitöskirjassa keskityn suurikokoisiin faageihin ja niiden ominaisuuksiin sekä erilaisiin vuorovaikutuksiin vesiympäristöissä. Olen ensimmäistä kertaa mukana Solubiologien hallituksessa, ja odotan tosi innolla minkälaisia hommia tuleva vuosi tuo tullessaan. Toivottavasti nähdään tapahtumissa!”

”Hi! I graduated last spring with a Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Jyväskylä, where I am now continuing as a PhD researcher. My dissertation focuses on large phages and their properties, as well as various interactions in aquatic environments. This is my first time being part of the Finnish Society for Cell Biology board, and I am very excited to see what kind of tasks the coming year will bring. I hope to see you at the events!”
