Åbo Akademi University invites applications for a Head of Research in Bioscience to establish and lead a new research group at the Turku Bioscience Centre, a premier life sciences research hub. The fixed-term position runs 1 May 2026 – 30 April 2031 and is full-time. The successful candidate will conduct and manage high-impact bioscience research, attract external funding, supervise PhD students, publish in top journals, and collaborate closely with research units across the Biocity Turku Campus. Leadership duties include strategy development for the research group and integration with existing scientific infrastructure.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field with a strong international research track record, experience in managing projects, competitive funding success, and ability to foster collaborations.
