A staff scientist position is available in the International Agency for Research on Cancer (Lyon, France)

A staff scientist position is available in our group at IARC (Lyon, France).  The staff scientist (P2 level) will be responsible for the development, design, and conduct of research projects in cancer epigenetics (please see the link for the advert in Naturejobs – www.nature.com/naturejobs/science/jobs/624995-scientist-epigenetics). Deadline for submitting applications: 18 October 2017.
The studies are aimed at testing hypothesis on the role of early molecular events (epigenetic driver genes, “epidrivers”) and deregulated pathways involved in tumour initiation and progression, which should advance our knowledge of mechanisms of cancer development. This will involve the development and application of in vitro models and state-of-the-art approaches, (epi)genome editing (such as CRISPR/Cas9 technology), genome-wide shRNA library knockdown screens, cell phenotyping and functional (epi)genomics. The incumbent will also provide assistance with the daily supervision of early career scientists and technical assistants.
