Lehdessä esittelyssä Kuukauden Solubiologi Joanna Ilvesaro (Fimlab Laboratorioiden laboratoriopäällikkö) ja Nordic Laboratories Oy Helsingin Viikistä. Professorin mielipiteen tarjoilee Seppo Vainio (Kehitysbiologian professori Oulun yliopistosta), ja tiedeartikkeleissa pureudutaan histonikoodin sekä syövän täsmälääkehoitojen jälkeiseen jäännöstautiin. Kunal Garg, co-founder of Tezted Ltd, has been selected among 30 most promising science & healthcare professionals under the age of 30 by Forbes magazine. Finnish Society For Cell Biology would like to express a big congratulations to Kunal on this huge achievement!
Kunal is also pursuing his doctoral degree at the University of Jyväskylä. Tezted Ltd and it’s mission have been presented in a seminar organized by Finnish Society For Cell Biology in November 2018.

Summer
School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, with
teachers from Harvard University, Karolinska Institutet, and other
European
universities, will take place in Italy from May 31st to June 13, 2020.
Registration is now open and the deadline for early registration is 8th
of March 2020.
The
School aims to provide introductory and advanced courses in medical
statistics and epidemiology, and their application to clinical and
etiology
research and public health.

Also, the Call for Abstracts for the meeting is still open until 31.12.2019. Based on abstracts, few authors will be selected to give a presentation in the meeting. All abstracts must be at most 250 words and written in English. The abstracts will not be published in any form. Please send a copy of your abstract by email attachment as a PDF or Word file to jarkko.koivunen@oulu.fi.

Suomen Solubiologit ry:n työelämäseminaari järjestetään tiistaina 12.11.2019 Jyväskylän yliopiston Ambiotica-salissa, ja mukana on jälleen erinomainen puhujakattaus kertomassa erilaisista solu- ja molekyylibiologian alan uravalinnoista. Tule kuulemaan minkälaisiin töihin alan opiskelija voi päätyä, seminaarissamme pääset tutustumaan puhujiin helposti ja luomaan kontakteja! Seminaari huipentuu Suomen Solubiologit ry:n gradupalkinnon jakamiseen, minkä jälkeen jatketaan rentoa keskustelua ja yhdessäoloa perinteisesti viinin ja snacksien lomassa. Lisäksi arvomme kaikkien osallistujien kesken Matti Vuennon uutuuskirjan, Bakteerien planeetta!
