Meillä on avoinna harjoittelupaikka kahdeksi kuukaudeksi. Kyseessä on antoisa ja mielenkiintoinen näköalapaikka innovatiivisessa tutkimusmaailmassa.

Harjoittelu on tarkoitettu henkilöille, jotka eivät aiemmin ole olleet harjoittelussa tai muuten töissä laitoksella.

– Työhön kuuluu puolukan käymisen optimointi bioreaktorilla, kromatografiset analyysit sekä datan käsittely ja raportointi.

– Työtä voi tehdä joustavasti osa-aikaisena opintojen ohella (tarkempi työaika voidaan sopia erikseen), työaika voi olla 40-100% sovittavissa opiskelijan tilanteen mukaan.

– Työharjoittelupaikka soveltuu 3. vuoden biokemian tai biotekniikan opiskelijalle sekä 4.-5. vuoden elintarvikekemian tai elintarvikekehityksen opiskelijoille.

– Työssä vaaditaan hyvät laboratoriotyöskentelyn ja Office-ohjelmien (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) perustaidot. SPSS-tilasto-ohjelmiston käytön osaaminen katsotaan eduksi.

– Kokemus kromatografisista menetelmistä tai mikrobikäymisistä katsotaan eduksi.

– Muuta: tarkka ja huolellinen, yhteistyökykyinen

Palkkaus on 1300 €/kk. Harjoittelussa on yhden kuukauden koeaika ja harjoittelun kesto on 1.5.2022 – 30.6.2022.

This post-doctoral position (scholarship) will be placed at the Department of Oncology-Pathology at KI. At our department, basic, translational and clinical research and educational activities related to cancer are carried out. Approximately 300 people from over 40 nations are currently working at the department. About 30 research groups with various cancer research profiles are involved and we have around 110 PhD students. The Department of Oncology-Pathology is responsible for undergraduate courses in Pathology, Oncology and Forensic Medicine for medical students, as well as for Tumor biology courses for biomedicine students and Pathology courses for opticians. The team led by the main supervisor Hanna Eriksson (MD, PhD) is focusing on clinical and translational melanoma research. The candidate will have immediate access to a collaborative network of translational researchers and clinicians working in the field.

Duties

We are looking for a postdoc who is curious and eager to solve biological questions with focus on translational melanoma research. Specifically, we are interested in understanding how the inflammatory response in the tumor microenvironment affects tumor progression and response to melanoma therapies.

The current position offers outstanding opportunities to develop as a researcher in an innovative and stimulating research environment by combining, together with a dedicated group of scientists and clinicians where the postdoc will contribute with her/his expertise.

To fulfil these aims, the postdoc will work on clinical specimens from melanoma patients as well as with cell lines and mouse models. The research project is therefore performed in close collaboration between the clinic and KI. The focus will be on applying gene expression models on biologically/clinically oriented research questions and to analyze the acquired data as well as to validate the findings using public domain data. This includes cell- and molecular wet-lab experimental methods as well as investigating new strategies and solutions for the developing these methods.

Entry Requirements

Do you have a strong affinity for translational medicine and a strong background in molecular biology and genomic techniques? Do you enjoy fast-paced collaborative science and working with people from different cultures and backgrounds? Are you genuinely interested in contributing to helping patients by conducting rigorous experiments and data analyses? Are you meticulous, attentive to detail and self-critical? Then you are the right person!

Prior experience with various NGS techniques (e.g., RNA-seq, whole-exome sequencing, targeted sequencing) and familiarity with the bioinformatics tools required to analyze their data, as demonstrated by leading authorship(s) on papers published in authoritative, peer-reviewed journals is a pre-requisite. Prior work in the field of cancer genomics is desirable but not indispensable.

The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in medicine, biomedicine, biotechnology or equivalent and a PhD in the field of genomic technologies (incl. single-cell genomics) and/or cancer genomics.

Scholarships for postdoctoral qualification can be established for foreign researchers who place their qualifications in Sweden. The purpose of scholarships for postdoctoral qualification is to promote internationalization and contribute to research qualification after a doctorate or equivalent.

A scholarship for carrying out postdoctoral research can be granted for a maximum of two years within a four year period following the receipt of a doctoral degree or equivalent.

To be eligible for a postdoctoral scholarship, the person must have obtained a doctorate or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctorate. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) start date of the post doctoral education.

The head of the department determines whether their previous training and scholarly qualifications correspond to a Swedish doctorate or higher.

Type of scholarship

Matemaattis-luonnontieteellisessä tiedekunnassa Biologian laitoksella on haettavana genetiikan yliopisto-opettajan määräaikainen tehtävä 1.8.2022 – 31.12.2022. Kyseessä on vanhempainvapaan sijaisuus.

Tehtävä sijoittuu Biologian laitokseen, jonka tutkimus ja opetus kattavat kaikki biologiset organisaatiotasot molekyyleistä ekosysteemeihin. Laitos muodostaa monialaisen, dynaamisen ja kansainvälisen tieteellisen ympäristön, ja on edustamillaan tieteenaloilla erittäin tuottoisa ja kansainvälisesti vaikuttava. Opetuksen tuloksekkuus näkyy runsaina maisteri- ja tohtorintutkintoina. Täytettävä tehtävä kuuluu fysiologian ja genetiikan tutkimus- ja opetusalaan.

Yliopisto-opettajan tehtävään otettavalta edellytetään tehtävään soveltuvaa ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa ja hyvää opetustaitoa. Tehtävässä korostuu monipuolinen menetelmien hallinta ja opetuskokemus, joita myös painotamme ansioina.

Yliopisto-opettajan tehtäväkohtainen palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen palkkausjärjestelmän opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön vaativuustasokartan tasojen 4-6 mukaisesti, jolloin tehtäväkohtainen palkanosa on 2591,28 – 3498,98 euroa kuukaudessa. Tehtäväkohtaisen palkanosan lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa, joka on 6 % – 50 % tehtäväkohtaisesta palkasta.

Tehtävässä on kahden kuukauden koeaika.

Mahdolliset julkiset opetusnäytteet järjestetään huhtikuussa 2022.

Etsimme projektiasiantuntijaa Image Data -tiimimme vahvistukseksi juuri käynnistyneeseen Euroopan aluekehitysrahaston rahoittamaan hankkeeseen, jonka tarkoituksena on tehostaa biokuvantamisella tuotetun kuvadatan hyödynnettävyyttä alueen yrityksissä.

Tehtävän kuvaus

Projektiasiantuntijana olet avainasemassa jakamassa tietoa ja osaamista biokuvadatan mahdollisuuksista ja sen hyödynnettävyydestä bioalan yritysten asiantuntijoille. Odotamme sinun verkostoituvan bio- ja lääkealan yritysten kanssa ja rakentavan ja ylläpitävän vankkoja asiakassuhteita nykyisten ja uusien yrityskumppanien kanssa. Tunnistat, valmistelet ja panet toimeen monipuolisia asiakasprojekteja ja ohjaat TBI:n kaupallisten kuvadatapalveluiden kehitystyötä yritysten tarpeiden pohjalta. Mieluiten osallistut myös käytännössä kuvadata-analyysimenetelmien kehitykseen. Tässä monipuolisessa tehtävässä pääset tuomaan omat ideasi esiin ja vaikuttamaan biokuvantamisen tulevaisuuteen. Tukenasi ja kumppaninasi on erittäin yhteistyökykyinen kansainvälinen tiimi, jolla on yli 20 vuoden laaja-alainen kokemus biokuvantamisen eri osa-alueilta.

Työtehtäviisi kuuluu muun muassa:

• Potentiaalisten asiakasyritysten tunnistaminen ja yritysvierailut, sekä kuvadataan liittyvä monipuolinen kommunikointi
asiakasyritysten kanssa

• Kaupallisten asiakasprojektien tunnistaminen, valmistelu, vetäminen ja toteutus

Projektiasiantuntija työskentelee Turku BioImagingin Euroopan Aluekehitysrahaston rahoittamassa Pix4Business-projektissa. Määräaikainen tehtävä alkaa niin pian kuin mahdollista ja jatkuu elokuun 2023 loppuun. Tehtävässä on 6 kuukauden koeaika ja palkkaus perustuu yliopistojen työehtosopimukseen. Valittava henkilö kuuluu muun henkilöstön henkilöstöryhmään vaatitasoille 9-10 ja pätevyydestä riippuen palkka on keskimäärin 3300 -4100 eur/kk.

Jätäthän hakemuksesi mahdollisimman pian, sillä saatamme haastatella jo hakuaikana osan hakijoista. Viimeinen hakupäivä on 20.3.2022.

Orionin Suomen kaupalliset toiminnot, RX-markkinointi hakee nyt tiiminsä vahvistukseksi osaavaa Tuotepäällikköä toistaiseksi voimassa olevaan työsuhteeseen.

Tehtävän kuvaus

Vastaat Tuotepäällikkönä Orionin neurologisten lääkkeiden markkinoinnista. Tuoteryhmä koostuu Orionin alkuperäläkkeistä sekä geneerisistä lääkkeistä.

Keskeisiä vastuualueitasi ja tehtäviäsi ovat:

• markkinointi-, kampanja- ja lanseeraussuunnitelmien laatiminen ja päivittäminen
• myynnin ennustaminen sekä kulusuunnittelu ja -seuranta oman tuotevastuualueen osalta 
• tiivis yhteistyö mainostoimiston kanssa suunniteltaessa ja valmistettaessa oman tuoteportfolion tuotteiden markkinointimateriaaleja
• yhteistyön ylläpitäminen sekä kehittäminen oman terapia-alueen avainasiakkaiden ja mielipidevaikuttajien kanssa sekä potilas- ja lääkäriyhdistysten kanssa
• osallistuminen oman alasi kotimaisiin tapahtumiin ja asiakaskoulutustilaisuuksiin 
• lääke-esittelijöiden koulutuksesta ja opastuksesta vastaaminen yhdessä myyntipäällikön kanssa
• tiivis yhteisyö Orionin eri organisaatioiden, kuten myyntilupayksikön, toimitusketjun, laadunvarmistuksen, tutkimuksen ja tuotekehityksen, tuotehankinnan, lääketieteellisen ja lääketurvayksikön sekä tukkuliikkeen kanssa
• päämies suhteista huolehtiminen  
• tuotteistosi asiantuntijana ja taustatukena toimiminen organisaatiossa

Edellytykset

Job description

In this Geneticist position, you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and motivated geneticist team that places great value in high-class clinical interpretation. We have a diverse genetic testing portfolio, including over 220 panels across 14 medical specialties, whole exome sequencing, approximately 3,900 single genes, and targeted variant analysis. Your daily work will entail analyzing the genetic data with our in-house developed interpretation tool and writing the test results into high-quality written statements. Interpretation of the data requires the use of several databases, genetic tools, and understanding of how the clinical history of the patient matches with the findings. In more challenging cases, you are supported by a group of clinical consultants in various medical specialties.

What we expect from you

We are looking for a person with a patient-first mindset, who is truly motivated to find answers for individuals affected by inherited diseases. You are able to deliver high-quality results independently, and taking responsibility comes naturally to you. At the same time, you are a team player with an eagerness to work towards a common goal. Our ideal candidate has:

• PhD in Genetics or Clinical Laboratory Geneticist degree in Clinical Molecular Genetics / Laboratory Genetics and Genomics
• Excellent understanding of human genetics, inheritance models and inherited human diseases, and the ability to understand medical terminology and learn clinical aspects of the diseases
• Knowledge of current genomic information and variant databases, in addition to experience in NGS methods
• Uncompromised attention to detail. In practice this means that an analytical, critical and systemic approach, as well as ability to follow rules, is needed to maintain coherent variant classifications throughout the team and the high quality of the reports.
• Experience in interpreting and reporting genetic test results in a clinical setting utilizing NGS, Sanger sequencing and other methods is an asset, but similar research experience is valued as well
• Experience in whole exome analysis in a clinical setting is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English are a necessity
• Strong experience in interpreting and reporting genetic test results in a clinical setting utilizing NGS is a necessity for a possible remote position

Your Tasks

• In your role you are focused on field- and office-based, post-sale technical support to all QIAGEN customers and are responsible for on-site repairs, installations, customer training, education and/or troubleshooting on QIAGEN instrumentation, including consumables and applications in all markets as well as coordinating with other internal departments to optimize protocols or aid in experimental design.
• You develop and maintain highest possible level of technical knowledge of automation / instrumentation as well as related applications and provide second-tier support for Sales and Technical Support by performing trainings such as train the trainer, seminars for internal and external customers
• You actively promote QIAGEN products including Service and Support products and assist in exceeding revenue targets, support demonstrations and evaluations if needed and give active feedback to Sales, Marketing, Global Product Support, Global Training and Management
• You utilize all available tools such as Service Reports, Spare Part & Service Manuals, ISI Notes, and the relevant databases to input information that will increase effectiveness
• You will be required to work with hazardous substances such as acids and solvents and to work in biological laboratories up to BSL3

Your Profile

• You bring a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in molecular biology or genomics
• You have an extensive practical/laboratory experience of the most frequently used techniques, or at least 2 years as a technical service or field service specialist within a relevant market sector
• Your are known for your experience with diagnostic equipment technologies and applications; experience with CRM programs and web-based tools to retrieve and analyze data is a plus
• You are a self-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks in a result-orientated commercial environment and are fluent in English and Finnish; fluency in another European language is a plus.
• You like to travel (70%) and bring a valid driver´s license and passport
